Noel and his team were fantastic from start to finish as was Jackie in the office! Beginning with the quote and through the entire project to completion, we were pleased and impressed by their professionalism and quality of work. We found out later that several of our neighbors also hired Second Generation and we’re also very satisfied with the price and quality of craftsmanship. Highly recommend.

I got 8 bids from local roofers, only ones with good reviews. Second Generation's price was lowest for 30yr and tied for lowest for 40yr shingle. We went with 40yr. One company was $12k higher for the same roofing material. The estimator, Noel, actually worked on the roof, which we really liked. He is a great guy and really knows his stuff. There were no extra charges at the end. They were on time, cleaned up well, no smoking, no loud music, just good workers. Noel came out later to reinstall/move a downspout when our solar installer took it down. We paid his helper as Noel refused to take any money. I would not hesitate to use this company again and let me save you research time, they were the cheapest and very good, and local!

These guys are exactly what you want in a roofing company- prompt, courteous, competent, careful, and attentive to detail. They left my property cleaner than when they arrived. I didn't get bids from other contractors, but my neighbor got 4 bids for his roof, and they were all within 5% of each other, with Second Generation about the same as the others. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.

Second Generation Roofing did a fantastic job! Dale was easy to work with, very professional, and provided outstanding service. From beginning to end, including the installation of new roof vents, replacing a cracked skylight, and installing the felt & shingles, the crew did a great job. Arrived about 7:30 AM and were done around 4:00 PM. Everything was neat and tidy when they left. And best of all, the price was right!

Our home is over 100 years old and in excellent condition. Choosing a roofing contractor called for doing some serious research and asking our friends and neighbors. Second Generation was recommended by a contractor/friend we’ve worked with for over 20 years. “We call Dale and everything gets done right.” Prompt courteous service, Dale arrived on time for the estimate, the price was right, the work was carried out professionally and the roof turned out beautifully. The crew was on time every morning, cleaned up everything every evening, and went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of. Our roof design has 2 problem areas that had caused leaks several times over the years and Dale and his crew solved both of them. We’ve just had several very heavy storms roll through and all is well. My calls were answered quickly and my questions were answered thoroughly. My wife and I have complete confidence in Dale and his guys.

I needed to replace a leaky roof on my San Rafael home. These people called me back quickly, did an estimate a day later, and came in under two other bids. When I called with some follow-up questions, the estimator Stephen, either answered the phone immediately or called back within an hour. He also told me why my roof was leaking, improperly installed/repaired flashing, and explained what he was going to do to prevent that in the future. When I decided to go with them for the job he came out with samples and a contract the next day. The work was started on time; finished a half day faster than estimated, and my property was left cleaner than before they started. The roof and the gutters look great. That’s about as good as it gets!

Very good experience with Second Generation. They completed the entire job in one day and the clean up was very thorough. I would not hesitate to call Second Generation or recommend them to anyone.

I am as picky as they come and I was SO pleased to have this company come and give us our new roof and gutters! Every concern I had in the beginning as far as the mess or any damage to our plants, was completely gone after I saw the finished work. Dale’s crew came around 7 am and were gone around 4 pm. New gorgeous roof with a nice riser along the top, new clean, gorgeous gutters and they even replaced a section of the rotted roof. The price was better than most we shopped for but the job was worth more than we paid. Our yard was cleaned up so well that you didn’t know they were here. His crew was fast but very detail oriented. We are so pleased with the quality of service and the excellent communication we had with the owner Dale. He is a great guy to work with and he gave us exactly what we asked for. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants a top-dollar job at a medium-dollar price!

Fast and professional installation, most reasonable bid!

I have owned an apartment building up in Santa Rosa for about 10 years. For the entire time, I have known I needed a new roof, but didn’t have the money to do the job. After a decade of saving, I had the money to do the job. I called 6 contractors (mostly found on Yelp) to bid the project. Despite having a pretty clear job scope, the bids were all over the place. Dale and the team at 2nd Gen had everyone beat by a mile. They came recommended to me by another apartment owner. Dale confirmed the time to re-roof a week in advance and met me on site. He provided me options to save money on repairing the damage. He notified my tenants for me and his crew was professional and polite. His gutter work was great and he cleaned the apartment at the end of the job. A + for pricing A for communication A+ for follow up Thanks, guys for a great new roof.
