I have been in roofing for 34 years, I started at the age of 16 helping my father out with roofing projects, nothing serious. Then in my early 20’s I decided to make a profession out of it working for numerous small roofing companies around Sonoma county.
In early 1996 I decided to take the leap and open my own company. After being a successful sole proprietorship for 2 years I decided to become incorporated in 1998. My family and friends have also been part of our family-owned business so that Second Generation Roofing will be around for many more decades to serve Sonoma, Marin, and Napa counties.
When I’m not working I enjoy spending my time outdoors. I have always enjoyed the adventure and find it while hiking, swimming, kayaking, camping, and more with my children and loved ones
Noel Hernandez-Lead Foreman
I have been with Second Generation Roofing for about 20 years. I am the lead foreman and oversee the crews and day-to-day operations. I lead like I want my crew to follow, making sure I am always on time and that a job is done correctly the first time. I enjoy meeting with the homeowners we do projects for, I want to make them feel comfortable to speak with me in regard to any concerns or questions they have about their roofing job.
I make sure our crew is on time, and when the job is done I always make sure that we leave the property cleaner than we found it. My specialty is residential re-roofing, so if your home has a leak I’m your go-to man. I strive to always give you an honest opinion on any roofing problem and I will do whatever I can to make sure your needs are taken care of and that Second Generation Roofing exceeds your expectations.

When I was in grade school I always loved coming into the office with my dad (Dale). When I entered my teen years my Dad would allow me to go and “help” him at the shop and do things like stuff envelopes or alphabetize papers.
In 2009 I was hired part-time and then by 2011 his other office managers had moved and left the company so it was just me. Dale realized that in the 3 years prior I was trained to do all necessary positions. accounts receivables, accounts payables, payroll, phones, bookkeeping, etc. He decided to have me take over the full-time position, so here I am! I enjoy my job and being part of our family-owned company. I’m the first person our customers or builders speak with and meeting their needs with professionalism and a smile is important to me.
When I’m not working I enjoy anything crafty with my daughter (coloring, beading, sewing, etc). I also enjoy photography and being outdoors.
